If you have read my previous posts, you already know that I am a big advocate for applying sunscreen daily and that is why I am always looking for a good facial moisturizer with sunscreen (at least SPF 15) that provides sufficient UVA/UVB protection and also has anti-aging characteristics. Enter… Yes to Carrots Daily Facial Moisturizer with SPF 15.
Price – $14.99 for 1.7oz. Easily available at drugstores (Target, Walgreens, Rite aid )
What does the product description say?
Yes to a facial moisturizer that moonlights (or, um, daylights?) as a natural SPF. Yes to nourishing organic carrots and ultra-luxe minerals from the Dead Sea.
Like Mama always said. “It’s what’s inside that counts.”
We start with organic carrots for powerful Beta-Carotene, which fights free-radicals and protects your body’s cells from damage. Then we add minerals from the dead Sea, a precious elixir that seals in vitamins and hydration.
Active Ingredients : Zinc Oxide (5%) sunscreen
My experience with Yes to Carrots Daily Facial Moisturizer with SPF 15
Positives :
•Hydrating, non greasy and does not leave a white cast on your skin even with zinc oxide as the sunscreen agent. (Before this one, I was using Paula’s choice skin recovery moisturizer spf 15. Although it is chock full of good-for-skin ingredients, it always left a slight white cast on my face that is obviously not desirable. )
•Loaded with skin beneficial ingredients like antioxidants, shea butter, pumpkin seed oil, carrot extract and many more.
•The consistency is soft & creamy and blends well into skin.
•Gentle enough for the eye area, doesn’t sting or irritate sensitive skin.
•Very mild pleasant fragrance
•Protects skin from UVA (Sun rays responsible for aging) and UVB
•Airtight packaging with pump that is convenient and doesn’t deteriorate the ingredients.
•Very reasonably priced
•Paraben free, mostly natural ingredients
Negatives:
•Although I find it hydrating and non greasy (or maybe very slightly greasy) for my normal to dry skin, those with very oily skin might not like the feel so much.
•A higher SPF would make this product just perfect for everyday use. (so that I don’t have to reach for a different facial moisturizer with SPF 30 whenever I am spending more time outdoors)
Would I repurchase? : A big YES! There is nothing to complain about this one……..until I get bored maybe 😉
After my positive experience with this moisturizer, I also purchased Yes to Carrots Gentle Foaming Baby Shampoo + Body Wash for my little girl and I am highly pleased with this too. It’s full of gentle and safe ingredients for baby skin and smells great.

Yeah sunscreen is a must for use on face. If you don’t like Neutrogena, try something from Lotus herbals or Lakme. Hope you find something good soon!

Hi Shweta, sorry for the late reply. I was on a family vacation recently and could not get back to you earlier. Anyways, yeah tinted moisturizers is a great idea for a natural look. I like Mac studio moisture tint Spf 15 or even Neutrogena Healthy Skin Enhancer Tinted Moisturizer is a good option. If you want a glowy look for parties, try Revlon age defying spa face illuminator . Let me know if these work for you or if you want more suggestions.
