Covergirl’s new Natureluxe Silk foundation has been touted as luxury makeup with quality ingredients to provide “flawless, luxurious coverage with a barely there feel”. I have been wanting to try out the Natureluxe Silk foundation since the time it released and recently got a chance (as a Bzz agent) to review it.

My Review :
I was not sure about the shade when I signed up but luckily got a shade (Chamois 330) that is a really close match to my skin tone! As stated in the description, Natureluxe silk foundation does have a lightweight feel and feels hydrating on my dry skin. This liquid foundation has a creamy texture that goes on smoothly and blends effortlessly. It has a satin finish with a touch of “dewiness” and looks very natural on skin. The coverage is medium and that’s what I prefer since full coverage foundations often feel heavy on skin or tend to cake up. It doesn’t cover up all your imperfections but evens out skin beautifully for a fresh, polished look. As for the staying power, it stays put for a good 5 – 6 hours on my skin before it starts to wear off slightly. It has a light fragrance that doesn’t stick around. Covergirl has also done a good job with the packaging design and I like the squeeze tube that dispenses just the right amount of product. SPF 10 is a nice touch but that’s certainly not enough, so a higher SPF would have been better. Here it is swatched and blended in on my hand.
Overall, I really like Natureluxe silk foundation because of its soft, natural finish and hydrating formula that wears comfortably throughout the day. I think it is more suitable for dry skin (it doesn’t accentuate dryness) and normal/combination skin types. The quality of this new drugstore foundation is comparable to high-end formulas and it’s definitely worth considering for its silky, lightweight formula that covers well. You might not like it if you have very oily skin or if you want full coverage but otherwise it’s a great product at an affordable price!

what would you recommend for an oily skin, with age spots?

I have read great reviews about Revlon Colorstay foundation for combination/oily skin and on the high-end Laura Mercier Oil-Free liquid Foundation is a great option! Hope that helps.
