Today I am reviewing Palladio herbal lipstick ($6) in Fantasy pink that I picked up recently from Sally beauty supply.
Product description (from Palladio’s website)
Full of moisture and pigment, this electrifying formula comes in 40 different high-quality shades that are sure to make heads turn. A contoured tip ensures a more precise application, while creamy, full-coverage properties will keep the color in place for hours without drying the lips. Use alone, or beneath your favorite Palladio lip gloss for extra shine.
My thoughts : I’d describe Fantasy pink as a lovely rosy-pink with a golden duochrome and frost finish. I love Golden pinks, be it a blush, lipgloss or lipstick and that’s why this color jumped out at me instantly! I am not too fond of frost finish lipsticks but this color is just so pretty that I tend to ignore that part.
Palladio herbal lipstick has a creamy texture that goes on smoothly and feels moisturizing on lips. This shade applies very sheer and needs a bit of layering to opaque finish but the color looks flattering on my fair-medium skin tone. The lipstick has a fragrance that is not unpleasant to my nose but I typically prefer unscented cosmetics. The staying power is quite disappointing as the color lasts only for about an hour or so before wearing off and that’s without eating or drinking. Here is a swatch :
I think Fantasy Pink is a pretty shade for the spring- summer months. I like to pair it with Revlon Color Burst lipgloss in Peony but it also looks great on it’s own. Palladio even has a tinted lip balm shade called ‘Golden Pink’ and I am going to try that next! However, I am not going back for more shades from the herbal lipstick line as the formula is overall average and doesn’t stay put for long.
Available at Palladio website and Sally Beauty Supply.
