I was recently contacted by Bellacures Salon in the Southern California area to try a complimentary service and review their salon on my blog. As much as I wanted to check out the salon, it wasn’t possible to do so with me being in Oregon. So, I had one of my friends Melissa who lives in CA try their services for me! Let’s see how was her experience….
As if you didn’t already need a reason to spend time in Laguna Beach, Bellacures is it! Prior to visiting Bellacures I assumed that any pedicure for $25 is going to be the same as the next. I was seriously mistaken! For the service I received compared to the price of a pedicure, I won’t ever go back to my local basic salon. The entire experience was a delight and relaxing from start to finish.
I didn’t have an issue parking on the street as its metered parking (I don’t think I paid more than $1.50 for 2 hours). I was greeted upon walking in and my appointment was quickly confirmed. I was instantly impressed at how clean and ‘cool’ the salon was. I picked out a color (from one of the most neatly arranged colors I’ve ever seen in a nail salon) and was taken to my super comfy oversized suede chair, and asked if I would like hot tea or water.
The salon itself is long and narrow, with comfortable chairs lining both sides. In between each chair is a little side table. Each customer gets their own tools, brand new in a pack. I instantly felt at ease as I’m usually wondering just how clean the tools and water are at nail salons. I loved the fact that they didn’t have typical spa chairs with the basin and massage controls that never work and was elated when a basin was brought out for my feet to soak. I can’t stress this enough!
Everything in the salon was extremely clean, the manicurists were extremely professional, and my pedicure was perfect. I never once felt pressured to upgrade my service, which is usually a hassle at most salons. I had a basic pedicure, but saw from the menu that was posted in plain sight that they offer TONS of other services.
The chair my gal was sitting on doubled as a foot rest, and when my pedi was done she turned it around so I could rest my feet and sit and enjoy my tea. I wasn’t rushed to pay and leave. Usually I get pedicures on my lunch break, and the stress of leaving and getting back to the office wipes away whatever relaxation I achieved, but not this time! I enjoyed tea, a magazine, peace and quiet, and a lovely insta-dry spray that added shine and a relaxing scent to my toes! I’m definitely going back!!

I used to go to Bellacures in Studio City all the time. The only way I can describe it is a midpriced high end salon. I love it. Alas the economy got me and I can no longer afford it but I totally recommend it.
