The shade I tried is Glow. Jouer describes it as a “shimmering tint for medium complexions.” It’s a pretty good match for my medium (NC-25 ish), warm complexion. Now don’t you get scared off by the word ‘shimmering’ in the description. Yes, this tinted moisturizer does have an illuminating formula with light-reflecting particles but it doesn’t look shimmery on your face. The shimmer is very refined to the point so that it’s almost undetectable on skin once blended in. That said, if you are a totally matte loving gal, it would be a good idea to steer clear of this product.
In regards to texture, it’s absolute bliss – smooth, creamy and lightweight. I love how it just melts into my skin in a flash without feeling greasy or heavy in the least and is decently moisturizing (on my dry skin, I like to use it over a lightweight moisturizer or hydrating primer) It just leaves my skin looking subtly radiant with a healthy glow….who wouldn’t love that?
The Luminizing Moisture Tint has a sheer to medium coverage that works very well to even out my complexion with a natural dewy finish. It doesn’t cover all my dark spots or acne scars but does a good job of blurring out most of the imperfections. For application, I like dabbing it on with my fingers and blending it out. The formula layers beautifully and can be built up in areas that require a higher level of coverage. As for the staying power, it lasts about 7 – 8 hours on my dry skin before I start to see some fading and that’s usually good enough for me.
Bottom Line – Jouer Luminizing Moisture Tint SPF 20 is truly a great option for anyone looking for a lightweight tinted moisturizer that not only evens skin tone nicely but also perks up your complexion wihout being sparkly or greasy. It’s also oil free, water resistant and SPF 20 which is always a bonus point! The shade range is pretty good too with 7 shades to choose from.
