Summer is winding down (boo!), but that doesn’t mean you can put away your sunscreen. As the weather gets colder and even though there are plenty of winter layers to keep you warm (and covered), you still need to keep your SPF routine up on a daily basis – so don’t forget to keep your face, neck and hands protected from the sun’s harmful rays.

This is actually the first time I’ve ever tried a Jan Marini skincare product but this one has impressed me enough that I will surely be checking out more from the brand! First off, it combines effective broad-spectrum UVA and UVB protection with multiple antioxidants to boost skin’s free-radical defense and prevent premature aging, while soothing and calming UV distressed skin with green tea extract and alpha bisabolol.
The lightweight formula is nicely moisturizing with a light cream consistency that goes on very smoothly and leaves a satiny semi-matte finish that I really like for my normal to dry skin. The formula also promises oil-control with microscopic sponges so it’s worth a try even for oily skin. It has a sheer tint that blends beautifully to even out the skin and works perfectly for my fair to medium skin tone. And because of the sheer tint of this sunscreen, there’s absolutely no white cast!
Not only is the formula free of any chemical sunscreen actives but it’s also fragrance-free making it a gentle option for those with sensitive skin. Plus, the product is also water-resistant for up to 80 minutes so you can rely on it for sun protection even for outdoor activities where you are sweating or in the pool.
Jan Marini Physical Protectant SPF 45 has quickly become one of my favorite daytime facial moisturizers with sunscreen. I really couldn’t find any fault with the product, seriously! Clocking in at $48 for a 2oz tube, this one is a little expensive but overall, it certainly gets my stamp of approval!

I like the SPF45 and that it’s a physical barrier sunscreen. This brand is new to me, too. How’s the coverage? Is it like a BB cream or more like tinted moisturizer?
Harshleen says
Allison – The coverage is very sheer. It just evens out the skin tone nicely….nothing like a BB cream coverage wise.

I was ooo’ing and ah’ing over this right up until I hit the price. Fifty dollars for tinted sunscreen is a little much for my budget. This looks like a great product, tho. 🙂
