Splish-splashing around is what summer is all about but that pool water and UV rays can cause your beachy tresses to oxidize, making hair dull, dry and brittle. If you hair is craving for moisture and shine after all of those hours of fun in the sun, e-CURE has a salon conditioning treatment you can do right at home!
With a main component of deep sea water from Japan, the e-CURE treatment is a chemical-free, three-product conditioning system to recover dull tresses. Unlike majority of other conditioning treatments that use ingredients like silicones to provide temporary shine and smoothness, the e-CURE system focuses on restoring damaged hair to its healthy state by utilizing specialized liquid minerals derived from deep sea and plants with antioxidants.
The core products of this system are M – 3.2 and P – 4.1, which are chemical free multi-purpose toners rich in deep sea and wild plant minerals and can be used liberally on both hair and skin. These products work on restoring moisture levels and infusing minerals into the hair shaft and also protect from heat when used before blow drying your hair.
As for the e-CURE treatment S-Series shampoo, it’s free of any sulfates or silicones and contains fruit extracts from grapefruit, lime, orange, apple and soy protein to improve the moisture retention of hair while cleansing.
How to e-CURE at home :
1. Spray the hair with M – 3.2 until it is thoroughly saturated and dripping.
2. Fill the e-CURE measuring bottle (provided with the kit) with half S-2 Treatment Moisturizing Shampoo, half M – 3.2 mixture and shake well
3. Lather up the mixture and massage the foam into the hair
4. Leave on for 3-5 minutes.
5. Spray P - 4.1 lightly throughout hair. Comb through to ends with a wide tooth comb
6. Rinse out
Repeat once every two to three weeks or until hair is in a healthy state.
According to the instructions, the S-Series shampoo uses natural surface active agents which have no damaging effects, so it isn’t necessary to follow up with a conditioner after the e-CURE treatment. However, if your hair is very dry like mine, I would recommend a light conditioner afterwards.
The Results
After using the e-Cure conditioning treatment thrice, I can say that it does work well to add moisture back to dry, parched hair. The sulfate-free shampoo lathers very well but doesn’t leave my hair feeling stripped. The end result is clean, smooth and bouncy hair. I also like to spray M-3.2 on during the day to moisturize, concentrating on the ends of my hair whenever it feels dry and never have to worry about my hair being weighed down.
Overall, while I wasn’t totally blown away by the results, this natural deep sea mineral based hair conditioning treatment sure is an easy way to pamper your strands and get the feel of salon-treated hair at home!
The e-CURE Conditioning Treatment products are available for purchase only in salons. You can find one near you through the Salon locator at ecure-treatment.com.
