As I mentioned before, I have a strong love affair going on with Amarte Skincare at the moment. This is probably the first time a skincare line has wowed me with every single product that I’ve tried so far like their eye cream…. and you guys know I am serious about my skincare! Today I’ve got another Amarte skincare must-have to share with you – the Wonder Cream, a cutting edge formula that takes a multi-pronged approach to target all key signs of aging (dark spots, fine lines and wrinkles) and reveal a healthy radiance.

As you can see from the ingredient list above, the Wonder Cream combines 1.0% retinol (the highest level routinely available on the skin care market today) with several calming and nourishing natural extracts. The formula delivers retinol using a proprietary micro-encapsulation technology that allows for nanometer sized coated retinol spheres which are exceedingly gentle and capable of delivering stabilized retinol deep into the skin without irritation. And to make sure that the formula isn’t subjected to environmental degradation over time, the Wonder Cream comes packaged in an attractive opaque airless pump container – shielded from retinol’s enemies – air and light.
In addition to the gentle delivery system, the Wonder cream also boasts of Schizophyllan (Mushroom β-glucan) which is a highly purified, natural moisturizing ingredient derived from mushrooms. It serves as a key emollient of Wonder Cream and actively enhances immunity to shield your skin from inflammatory triggers, irritation, environmental toxins, and damage from UV exposure. Plus, Bio-peptide SC (a selenium containing peptide complex) prevents collagen degradation and dermal matrix breakdown to provide potent anti-aging benefits.
Now that we have covered the ingredient aspect of the formulation, let’s talk about the product itself…..
I’ve been using the Wonder Cream daily for about 3-4 weeks now, every night. The formula has a light, non-greasy lotion consistency and absorbs instantly, leaving my skin smooth and nicely moisturized. It has a faint but pleasant citrusy scent that fades away in a few seconds. I am loving the results as my skin is more supple, radiant and even in texture and tone. Despite the formula being rich in retinol, I didn’t experience any sort of irritation, redness or flaky skin even with daily use. It’s also worth noting that I haven’t been using any moisturizer afterwards…just the cream and that’s it! So, the formula truly lives upto its claim of being gentle on your skin!
However, if you are very new to retinol, this cream may cause some flaking when you first begin using it. If you are not sure, you can start using this cream every other night and then move on to daily use as your skin becomes used to it. You can also use a light moisturizer on top, if needed…I will be doing that for sure to keep my dry skin happy in winters! And yeah, I suggest using it only at night – sun doesn’t play nice with retinol. Also, don’t forget to slather on a high SPF during the day as retinol makes skin more sensitive to the UV rays.
Bottom Line
Amarte Wonder Cream is my new retinol cream of choice! This high potency yet gentle retinol formula has definitely earned a place in my HG (holy grail) skincare list! At $79 for 2.7 fl oz, it seems a bit expensive but as compared to 1 fl oz for most retinol products (in the same or even higher price range), this one is a fantastic find worth the investment!

I had never heard of this brand but it sounds like a winner
