Hey everyone, hope your New year is off to a good start! On tuesday, I did a roundup on Beauty Bloggers’s favorites of 2013 that listed the favorite products of some of my beauty blogging buddies. Today I have put together a list of my top picks for 2013….there are the ones that truly set themselves apart so I am excited to share my love for all these fabulous finds!
Here’s my list of favorite skincare products of 2013…..I’ll be doing a makeup favorites post tomorrow! Let’s get started…
Amarte Skincare – No surprises here, right? This amazing skincare line has wowed me like no other. With a combination of great ingredients and beautiful airless-pump packaging to make sure those ingredients actually work, each of the products really lives up to its claims (and you know I have high standards when it comes to skin care!) The Hydrolift Cream and Wonder Cream were definitely the standout products for me.
Neova DNA Damage Control Everyday SPF 44 – Truly an SPF delight, this one is my favorite facial sunscreen of the year! Not only does it defend against broad spectrum UVA/UVB rays but also delivers oil-free hydration and significant anti-aging benefits with an elegant, lightweight formula that doesn’t leave any white residue.
Exuviance OptiLight Tone Corrector – Struggling with dark spots? You’ve got to try this skin tone corrector that diminishes the look of dark spots with a combination of NeoGlucosamine, Retinol and Vitamin C. It’s the most effective (and gentle) hydroquinone-free dark spot treatment I have found so far. Totally worth the $62 price tag!
STEAMCREAM – This freshly handmade, natural moisturizer is the perfect nourishing treat for dry skin! The soothing formula contains a mixture of fresh natural ingredients including oatmeal infusion, orange flower water, chamomile, almond oil, jojoba oil, cocoa butter and rose absolute that are fused together by a shot of steam. It has a lightly whipped, non-greasy texture that soaks in super quickly and provides long-lasting hydration and super soft, supple skin from the first use. And best of all – it comes with an affordable price tag of just $20! I also love using it as a hand cream every night!
Paula’s Choice RESIST Super Light Wrinkle Defense SPF 30 – This is the perfect daytime moisturizer with sunscreen for combination to oily and breakout-prone skin. So, why did I love it for my dry skin? Because the multi-tasking formula not only protects skin from sun damage (with pure, refined 13% zinc oxide), but is also loaded with potent antioxidants to repair and stimulate collagen production. It has a super-lightweight feel on the skin and leaves a soft matte finish. The formula is also slightly tinted so there’s no white cast to worry about! It’s not moisturizing enough on its own for my dry skin but when used with an antioxidant serum, the finish is just perfect!
So, these are my top skincare finds of 2013! What new skincare products paved their way into your beauty routine this year? I’d love to know!

I have some Exuviance samples I need to try after reading your review. I need something to help with dark spots! Also kinda geeky-excited about the steam cream. Is it really different from regular creams? I love the smell of orange blossom..

penelope9 Me too! That’s what initially made me interested in it 🙂 The scent is very light though and is not particularly orange blossom. As for the formula, it is great especially for dry skin like mine!
