GLOSSYBOX October 2014 is all about the feel-good factor! This month’s box features 5 brightening beauty essentials including Tarte cosmetics Power Pigment and Vince Camuto’s beautifully packaged limited edition Amore Eau de parfum.
Let’s get into the details….
Tarte Power Pigment in Flush (Full size, $24 value) – Inspired by the brand’s best selling cheek stains, this creamy lip tint has a slim, twist-up design, no sharpener needed. The color payoff is great, it applies almost opaque and has a light minty scent. I received the shade Flush, a lovely berry red. It has a creamy matte finish and is fairly long-lasting.
Nails Inc. Westminster Bridge Matte Top Coat ($10 value) – I am not a matte-finish girl, whether it be nails or skin! So, this won’t be used much here. However, I tried it out once and this is a great top coat….perfect for your vampy fall manicures!
Vince Camuto Amore Eau de Parfum (mini size, $12 value) – Described as the scent of fresh-cut flowers and fragrant fruits atop a base of comforting cashmere, rich amber and earthy sandalwood that’s sure to romance the senses’, this fragrance is inspired by the fleeting moments of meeting a special someone. First off, the pretty little perfume bottle is so cute! As for the fragrance, it’s a fruity-floral that’s not at all strong or overwhelming. It’s not really my type of scent, a bit too sweet but overall nice!
Proganix Volume Root Boost Finish + Body Builder ($12 value) – Infused with a blend of strand-boosting soy protein combined with energizing caffeine, this spray adds body and volume to your hair. It’s meant to be used on clean, damp hair. I usually don’t use any volumizing styling products so I wish I had received the Anti-fade or Repair dry oil (that were included in other boxes) from Proganix.
Sesha Botanical Hydro Mask ($9 value) – This skin-calming one time use sheet mask contains extracts of moisturizing cucumber and anti-inflammatory green tea and marigold. I loved this one! It’s really soothing and leaves my skin feeling hydrated and refreshed.
There was also a Bonus item this time – a $40 gift card for Hello Fresh food box subscription. This service delivers delicious and nutritious recipes every week along with all the ingredients in the exact quantities you need for 2 or 4 people. It costs $69 for 3 meals a week for 2 people and there are other options and box variations available too. It sounds pretty interesting so I am definitely going to try it out!
Overall, I really liked the October GLOSSYBOX! Tarte’s lip tint ($24 value) and the sheet mask were fabulous while the $40 gift card was a nice surprise! Totally worth the $21 price tag.
You can also sign up to get your own GLOSSYBOX delivered to your doorstep – $21 for a Monthly Subscription. And make sure to use the code GBGLAM at checkout for a FREE Glamglow Youthmud Tinglexfoliate Treatment ($19 value), valid until October 31, 2014 .
