As the bitter winter air creeps in, skin is not the only victim of chilly weather—our hair suffers a great deal as well. I have always had dry, frizz-prone strands and because of my way-too-many gray hair, I also have to color them quite frequently. So, come wintertime, my dull lackluster locks really start freaking out and need a lot of pampering and TLC (to save me from a slew of self-esteem-blowing bad hair days!)
Enter InstaNatural’s Argan Oil Hair Mask! This is a deep conditioning treatment designed to transform dry and damaged strands into soft, shiny, healthy hair. With an impressive list of natural restorative ingredients – such as Argan Oil, Japanese Green Tea, Amino Acid Complex, Coconut Oil, Shea Butter, Jojoba Oil, Avocado Oil & Vitamin B5 – this intensive hair mask not only delivers ultimate nourishment and hydration but also strengthens hair to protect it against damage from heat styling and other external aggressors.
Here’s the full Ingredient List :
Deionized Aqua (Water), Organic Aloe, Organic Argan Oil, Cetearyl Alcohol (Plant Derived), Behentrimonium Chloride, Algae Extract, Japanese Green Tea (Camellia Oleifera) Leaf Extract, Silk Protein Amino Acid Blend (Sodium L-Pyrrolidone Carboxylate, Sodium Lactate, L’Arginine, L-Aspartic Acid, L-Pyrrolidonecarboxylic Acid, Glycine, L-Alanine, L-Serine, L-Valine, L-Proline, L-threonine, L-Isoleucine, L-Histidine, L-Phenylalanine), Palmitoyl Triepeptide-3, Sweet Orange EO, Vanilla Absolute, Organic Jojoba Seed Oil, Organic Seseame Seed Oil, Organic Avocado Oil, Organic Olive Fruit Oil, Organic Evening Primrose Oil, Organic Linseed Seed Oil, Organic Coconut Oil, Organic Shea Butter, Organic Starflower Seed Oil, Polysorbate-60, Capryl Hydroxamic Acid, Amodimethicone, Caprylyl Glycol, Panthenol (Pro-Vitamin B5), Kosher Vegetable Glycerin, Coco-Caprylate/Caprate, Palm Oil (Isopropyl Palmitate), Guar Hydroxypropyltrimonium Chloride, Organic Gotu Kol, Wildcrafted Horsetail (Equisetum Arvense), Wildcrafted Dandelion, Wild Geranium , Sodium Benzoate, Potassium Sorbate, Colloidal Oatmeal, Citric Acid (Naturally Derived)
The directions suggest to apply a generous amount onto your clean, towel-dried damp hair and let it soak in for 5 to 15 minutes. I have thick hair so I leave mine in for the full 15 minutes to maximize absorption and then rinse it thoroughly. I have been using it right after shampooing on damp hair and love how it leaves my strands silky smooth and so easy to detangle! It washes off easily too without leaving a residue or weighing down my hair. Another thing worth mentioning is the scent – it’s a nutty-sweet kinda scent that’s quite nice and not at all strong or overwhelming.
I can feel the difference after I blow dry my hair – super soft, smooth, healthy-looking & moisturized. It also tames and reduces frizz & flyaways. The results from a deep treatment are great but it also works well as a standard conditioner. I’d suggest using it 1-2x per week as deep conditioner and using as a daily conditioner if your dry/damaged hair needs an extra little dose of moisture like mine, especially in winter. Dry hair doesn’t stand a chance against this nourishing hair mask!
