The theme of Beauty Box 5 May 2015 is S.O.S., which stands for Super Outstanding Skin. And that’s what the products in the box are all about this month – complexion helpers and enhancers that give you quick makeup fixes, pops of color and a healthy dose of moisture for your skin. Take a look….
Bio Swiss Stainless Steel Mini Tweezer – This mini tweezer comes in a plastic travel tube that prevents dirt and dulling, making it perfect to toss in your purse or makeup bag for on-the-go brow fixes! This is such a useful and handy little thing to have for travelling…it’s one of those things I never knew I needed 🙂
Styli-Style Glide-On Blush Stick ($6.49, full size) – I like using blush sticks so this is undoubtedly my favorite product in the box! The shade I got is called Pretty-in-Pink, a soft pink with a subtle sheen. It’s nicely pigmented and the color looks good on my skin tone. It’ll surely get used…glad this one is full sized!
Coastal Scents Classic/Synthetic Brush ($2.50) – I got the classic shadow large synthetic brush that features a rounded tip, designed for blending and highlighting. I like the wide bristles that feel soft and blend colors without leaving visible streaks. I haven’t washed it yet so can’t say anything about the shedding and durability but overall I think it’s a nice affordable find for under $3!
Dermalogica Active Moist – This is an oil-free moisturizer formulated with silk amino acids to even out the skin texture all day long. I like the hydrating formula and lightweight texture that would be great for warmer months, but wish they included a bigger sample!
Essenza Luxury Hand Soap (deluxe sample) – Infused with pure essential oils, the Rosemary mint soap has a minty herbal kind of scent that’s nice and refreshing. As for the formula, it’s not really the luxuriously hydrating types but I have no complaints either.
Overall, I am delighted with this month’s Beauty Box 5. It came with a nice assortment of beauty essentials – from a travel friendly tweezer and hand soap to a compact blush stick – that are all useful! There wasn’t anything disappointing in there, so overall it’s a two thumbs up from my side!
