Bioderma, it’s a French skincare brand whose products are known for being highly effective but gentle enough to use on even the most sensitive skin. In case you are not familiar with
Did you know one bottle of Bioderma’s micellar water is sold around the world every five seconds! The ingredients are non-comedogenic and safe to use, formulated without any alcohol, soap, parabens, fragrance or harsh chemicals.
Bioderma is a pioneer when it comes to micellar water and after trying it out for myself, now I know why it’s so wildly popular! It completely removes makeup (waterproof formulas, too!), dirt and oil from the skin without stripping my sensitive skin of its natural moisture.
Just soak a cotton pad with the micellar water and sweep the liquid onto your face to remove a day’s worth of foundation, concealer, and even waterproof mascara. Re-apply if needed until the cotton pad becomes clean. No greasy mess, no oily residue, no hassle!
Not only it helps cut my night routine in half, replacing makeup remover and toner, but I also like to use it in the morning after sleeping with a heavy overnight treatment – it feels delightfully refreshing! Bioderma offers 3 different variations of their micellar water, each formulated for different skin types. Let’s take a look…
This no-rinse micellar cleansing and makeup removing water is specially formulated for sensitive, normal to dry skin types (like mine). It removes just about all types of makeup easily… even water-resistant face and eye makeup! The gentle fragrance-free formula contains soothing cucumber extract to help clear up irritated skin and doesn’t leave a residue that requires rinsing. This formula is the way to go for sensitive skin types!
This micellar water is specially formulated for dehydrated, sensitive skin. Its fatty acid esters, the constituent elements of micelles, are similar to the phospholipids of the skin cell membranes and naturally help rebuild the skin’s hydrolipidic film. Moreover, its Aquagenium exclusive biological patent stimulates the skin’s ability to retain moisture. This formula also removes water-resistant makeup from the face and eyes gently and effectively. It has a light and refreshing fragrance that’s supposed to allergen-free. I find it quite nice and didn’t have any irritation or sensitivity issues.
Specially formulated for sensitive, combination or oily skin, this micellar water gently cleanses and removes makeup without drying out the skin. The formula is enriched with purifying active ingredients like zinc gluconate and copper sulfate that help limit sebum secretion while its exclusive Fluidactiv complex biologically regulates sebum quality and prevent pores from getting clogged.
Bioderma’s Micellar Water is the perfect low-maintenance beauty pick for busy (or lazy!) girls. And I swear — once you try it, you won’t know how you ever lived without it! Available for purchase at Amazon.com.
