nude lipstick that adds a little punch to your everyday look…instantly! This summer, L’Oréal Paris has introduced the matte version of their Infallible Lip Paints in 6 new nude-toned shades that promise full coverage high-impact color with a velvety smooth matte finish.
No matter what the season is, you can’t go wrong with aL’Oréal Paris Infallible Matte Lip Paints come in a squeeze tube with a sponge-tipped applicator. Just like the original Lip Paints, the formula has a creamy liquid lipstick feel going on (not as hydrating though) with a rich, opaque color payoff but with a matte finish.
It takes about 30 seconds or so before the formula dries matte and I like that because it gives me a little bit of time to perfect my application before the color sets completely.
Although the Matte Lip Paints formula isn’t really hydrating, it’s not uncomfortable either and doesn’t make my lips feel desert-dry. It wears pretty comfortably with a lightweight feel, without leaving my lips zapped of moisture. However, the color does tend to settle a little bit into my lip lines and that’s my only gripe!
When it comes to staying power, L’Oréal Paris Infallible Matte Lip Paints definitely leave something to be desired. The formula isn’t very long-wearing nor is it smudge or transfer-proof. The color holds up decently through coffee/snack break but not so much after lunch. The longevity is a lot better with the darker shades, Cinna-bomb and Velvet Pout that need fewer touch-ups.
L’Oréal Paris Infallible Matte Lip Paints are available in 6 shades. The ones I have are #340 Skinny Dip, #342 Tongue Tied, #346 Festival, #348 Velvet Pout and #350 Cinna-Bomb. Here are the swatches…
My favorites among these are Festival (matte caramel) and Cinna-Bomb which makes a beautifully bold statement! Skinny Dip is too pale for me and gives a washed out effect on my light-medium skin tone. Velvet Pout is a purple-toned gray with an edgy vibe…I can see myself rocking this shade come fall!
Overall, color me impressed with the new L’Oréal Paris Infallible Matte Lip Paints. If you are looking for a well-pigmented drugstore nude liquid lipstick with a comfortable matte finish that won’t leave your lips dry, these lippies are definitely worth trying out…and they are under $10!
Available now at Ulta, Target, Amazon.com, and lorealparisusa.com for $9.99 each.

Darn I just ordered skinny dip, seeing your swatches now I know it’s too light for me wish I got tongue tied instead. Great review!
