If you have been reading this blog for a while, you know I am all about glowing, supple skin! But I have naturally dry skin and keeping it plump and well-hydrated can be a year-round struggle. And when winter comes around, my skin tends to get dull, flaky and much more ravenous for moisture.
So, I have to make sure to amp up the hydration ante during the harsh winter weather. And that’s where this Water Drench Hyaluronic Glow Serum comes in!
This serum has an elegantly lightweight emulsion-like texture that just glides on my skin with a silky feel. Once it’s all worked in, it leaves my skin looking smooth and notably hydrated.
My complexion just looks slightly dewy and fresh-faced, not too glowy (and definitely not greasy which is why I think this serum would be good for almost all skin types and not just for dry skin!)
The deeply moisturizing formula gives my dry skin that healthy glow and hydration it needs, without being heavy or tacky. And a little goes a long way, I just need 2 pumps for my face and neck. Then, I would finish my routine with a moisturizer.
I have been using this hydrating serum once everyday since last 2-3 weeks and even though winter is in full-force now, it has really helped my skin stay supple and flake-free.
I have just one little gripe though! The hero ingredient here is the deeply hydrating Hyaluronic Acid, plus it contains Ceramides that help skin retain moisture and fortify its protective barrier. But the formula is lacking a bit in antioxidant benefits. The addition of a few more antioxidants would have made this a more well-rounded serum for the price!
Bottom Line
Peter Thomas Roth Water Drench Hyaluronic Glow Serum packs a seriously hydrating punch for a healthy complexion that glows (and solve your winter skin woes!)
It gives dry skin a good dose of much-needed moisture with a side of dewy glow. Not to mention, it provides these benefits in a lightweight silky-smooth texture (so much for needing rich, heavy creams in the winter!)
At $68 for 1oz, it’s on the expensive side but if you have been unable to find a product to quench dry skin without feeling heavy or causing breakouts, this serum would be a welcome addition to your skincare routine.
