Today we’re talking about a few of my favorite bedtime skincare products that give me a healthy, hydrated glow overnight. These are all formulated with a cocktail of potent anti-aging ingredients that contribute towards long-term skin improvements while also providing the instant gratification of glowing skin!
These hard-working heroes leave my skin soft, supple and radiant by the time I wake up the next morning AND also tackle skin concerns from hyperpigmentation and large pores to fine lines…what’s not to love?
Skincare Favorites For Overnight Glow
Drunk Elephant Protini PowerPeptide Serum ($82) – Formulated with 10% lactic acid and a concentrated blend of 11 peptides, this exfoliating serum smooths skin texture, improves uneven skin tone/discoloration and provides an overall glow boost. Lactic acid is an effective yet milder AHA that exfoliates skin while being gentle and hydrating (which is perfect if you have dry skin like me!)
Plus, the fragrance-free formula contains Snow Mushroom Extract and Sodium PCA (both have hydrating and antioxidant benefits) along with Sodium Hyaluronate, Squalane, Green Tea Seed Oil and Virgin Marula Oil to nourish skin.
This serum has a very lightweight texture that absorbs quickly into the skin. I use it at night before my moisturizer and love how my skin feels so soft and smooth with a natural glow in the morning. And I have never experienced any irritation, sensitivity or tingling with it. This supercharged, radiance-renewing treatment is a fantastic all-rounder and great for all skin types! Full review here.
Peach & Lily Power Cocktail Lactic Acid Repair Serum ($51) – This is another amazing lactic acid based exfoliating serum that’s actually a more affordable alternative (dupe) for the Drunk Elephant Protini Serum I just mentioned above!
The Peach & Lily serum serum also features 10% lactic acid, plus it contains ceramides, 12 natural extracts and Hyaluronic Acid complex to hydrate and soothe skin. The potent yet gentle formula helps smooth fine lines, soften skin texture, even skin tone and boosts glow – all without any irritation.
Texture-wise, this serum has a silky lightweight formula that absorbs easily and quickly. It’s great for anyone struggling with dullness, hyperpigmentation, uneven skin tone or texture. I love this serum as much as the Protini serum…the formula is just as effective and gives me glowy, smoother skin!
Biossance Squalane + Vitamin C Rose Firming Oil ($74) – Next is this luxurious lightweight facial oil with vitamin C, squalane and chios crystal oil to nourish, brighten and firm skin for a healthy, glowing complexion. This oil doesn’t exfoliate skin but I still find it great for getting the glow, if my skin is looking lackluster.
I use this oil as the last step in my night routine after serum and moisturizer to lock in the moisture. It has a silky feel, not heavy or greasy and provides long-lasting hydration. It leaves my skin supple and glowing!
Replenix Glycolic Acid 20% Resurfacing Cream ($35) – This is a high-strength skin resurfacing cream that features ultra-purified medical-grade glycolic acid (20%) so it’s not for the faint-hearted, it’s for experienced users of glycolic acid who do not have sensitive skin.
Besides glycolic acid, the formula also contains stabilized vitamins A, C & E for triple-antioxidant protection and highly potent form of CoQ10 that helps fight against damaging free radicals.
Even though my skin is used to chemical exfoliants, I don’t use this cream every week and just keep it in my rotation for an intensive treatment every 2-3 weeks. It delivers luminous, super-soft and smooth skin overnight!
Farmacy Honeymoon Glow AHA Resurfacing Night Serum ($60) – This serum is formulated with a potent blend of 14% AHA/BHA exfoliants, including glycolic and lactic acid plus willow bark extract (natural alternative to the salicylic acid). The formula is also infused with soothing honey, grape seed oil, argan oil and hyaluronic acid to hydrate and plump skin.
Glycolic acid is great for a glow boost, and so is lactic acid as I said before! So this serum is great for revitalizing dull, dry complexion and leaves skin renewed, soft and supple (thanks to all the skin-smoothing and hydrating ingredients in the formula) This is great for all skin types, but not for those with sensitive skin.
