I have been trying a few products from the Clinical Strength + Clean line so let’s take a look…
HH Science Clinical Strength + Clean Vitamin C-Brightening Serum + Ferulic Acid ($139)
This is a lightweight clinical strength serum formulated with a highly potent blend of 15% L-Ascorbic Acid (pure Vitamin C), 1% Tocopherol, 0.5% Ferulic Acid and Octapeptide which is intensified with a trans-epidermal carrier.
As you know, Vitamin C helps boost collagen production, improves uneven skin tone and reduce hyperpigmentation while also providing antioxidant protection against harmful free radicals which can lead to premature aging.
This vitamin C serum has a water-like, weightless liquid texture that absorbs very quickly without a sticky or tacky feel. Check out my Instagram reels below to see the texture…

Suitable for all skin types, this serum is free of fragrance and essential oils. And the formula uses extra antioxidants like vitamin E and ferulic acid to help stabilize Vitamin C. Also, it’s a good idea to keep your serum bottle in the fridge to increase its shelf-life. If you are looking for a high-strength vitamin C serum with an elegantly lightweight texture, this one is a fantastic option!
HH Science Clinical Strength + Clean Healthy Glow Tinted BB Cream SPF 44 ($59)
This is a tinted mineral sunscreen that features a moisturizing base with a sheer, universal tint that is great for all skin types. The formula features 10% zinc oxide and 5.5% titanium dioxide to provide broad-spectrum UVA/UVB protection. It also contains hydrating sodium hyaluronate and antioxidants vitamin E and C to boost the UV protection of sunscreen.
This sunscreen has a lightweight texture that absorbs easily with a hydrating feel and gives me a dewy glow finish. The tint is really sheer and doesn’t provide any coverage but helps to make my skin tone look more even.
This gentle mineral sunscreen is a great option for even the most sensitive skin types, including post-procedure. Also, it’s water-resistant for up to 40 minutes.
HH Science Barrier Repair + Moisture Lock ($125)
Infused with a proprietary blend of squalane, cholesterol and ceramides, this is a restorative cream that balances the skin’s natural moisture levels. It replenishes the skin with essential, naturally occurring lipids while also helping to improve skin texture and provide a more youthful appearance.
Great for all skin types, the formula also contains a lot of other beneficial ingredients like Niacinamide, Bisabolol (soothing), Sodium Hyaluronate, plus antioxidants Resveratrol, green tea and vitamin E. No wonder it’s their best-selling moisturizer!
This cream has a rich yet non-greasy texture that absorbs quite easily and leaves skin feeling smoother and hydrated. This emollient moisturizer is perfect for night-time use as that is when the skin barrier repairs itself (while you sleep) and the active ingredients in it have more weight to them.
HH Science Clinical Strength + Clean Tretinol 1% ($122)
This exclusive formula contains patented Retinoid Complex (Tretinol®), including Vitamins C and E encapsulated with a proprietary Trans-Epidermal Carrier to maximize the effectiveness of Retinol’s anti-aging benefits. It helps with reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles as well as brightening the skin. It also assists with stimulating cellular regeneration, while increasing collagen and elastin production.
This is a highly concentrated serum with 1% retinol so apply sparingly over the face and neck, avoiding the eye area. It has a very lightweight formula that can also be mixed with a moisturizer at bedtime. As someone with dry skin, I always use a hydrating serum first before applying retinol and then follow up with a deeply hydrating moisturizer afterwards (like the Barrier Repair + Moisture Lock mentioned above) to counteract the dryness associated with retinol.
If you are new to Retinol, initial application should be once or twice a week for the first couple of weeks and gradually increase use after the skin shows minimal signs of irritation.
