Just a quick post to show you my first NOTD with the crackle effect. The crackle polishes are all the rage now and I find them really pretty but I didn’t think it was my style. But the other day I saw this Antiqued gold crackle polish in Walgreens and decided to pick up one just to see how it turns out on my nails. So, I used Essie Wrapped in Rubies underneath (two coats) and then applied Sally Hansen’s Antiqued Gold Crackle Overcoat polish (one coat) on top. I won’t say I love the end result but it doesn’t look bad either….or maybe it was my application skills with the crackle coat that need some improvement. Any tips from you gals?
Essie Wrapped in Rubies alone is such a gorgeous medium burgundy color with gold shimmer… perfect for autumn!
What are you wearing on your nails today? Any fall favorites?

Crackle’s not for me! I alternate between dark and light. This week, it’s NYX Moonwalk, a shiny/frosty lilac – almost glittery. Love it!
