Sephora collection Maniac Long Wearing Lipsticks swatches and review

While looking for a new coral lippie, I came across the Sephora collection Maniac Long Wearing Lipstick in no.05 (golden coral shimmer) and instantly fell in love with the color! As I was playing around with other shades in the line, 06 (golden rose shimmer) also caught my fancy and I picked it up too.

The Sephora collection Maniac Long Wearing Lipstick glides on smoothly with a great color payoff. It has a sweet, fruity scent that’s noticeable only while applying. With the name Maniac Long Wearing Lipstick, I do expect it to last much longer than an average lipstick and it does……but not a lot. It stays on for a good 3-4 hours before wearing off,  the color holds up well through drinking but not through a meal.. I wasn’t really expecting a full 8-hour wear anyways so anything above 3 hours is good enough.

What I really  love about this lipstick is that unlike most long-wearing formulas, this one is lightweight, creamy and wears comfortably without drying out. I do not have to apply a lip balm before but as with any lipstick, if you have very dry lips, be sure to apply a lip balm prior to these.

 

Both the shades are really pretty and the shimmer is beautiful without being glittery. The colors are flattering,  easily wearable and I love the way the coral shade turns out on my lips. I’m so ready for spring with these!

The Sephora collection Maniac Long Wearing Lipsticks are a great addition to my lipstick collection! I love the shades, finish, and the comfortable wear, though I do wish they had a little more staying power.
