Can you guess what’s my latest makeup obsession? Yup, it’s cream blushes! And for today’s post, I present to you a fabulous cream blush that I have discovered recently. Enter GlamNatural Cream Blush in You Make Me Blush.
Description from GlamNatural
Our cheek color offers a smooth, satin finish and a healthy flush appropriate for all skin types. Whether you are interested in a pinch of color or a dramatic evening look, these blush shades deliver.
Ingredients: Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea Butter), Dimethicone, Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower Oil), Rhus Verniciflua Peel Wax (Berry Wax), Vitis Vinifera (Grape Seed Oil), Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba Oil), Iron Oxides (C177491,77492, 77499), Titanium Dioxide (CL77891)
As you guys know very well, I am always up for using natural beauty products, be it skincare or makeup, and as the name suggests, GlamNatural products are truly natural – All GlamNatural products have less than 10 ingredients and contain no preservatives, synthetic dyes , fragrances or other nasties. What makes them unique is that GlamNatural product formulas do not contain water because water harbors bacteria, and when a makeup starts with water, the manufacturer has to add a preservative to deter the growth of various nasties. Preservatives may irritate skin and cause imbalances. So, it’s wonderful to be able to do without them!
Now that you know that the formula is water-free, the first thing to remember about this cream blush is that it’s rich and highly concentrated. You need to use only the tiniest bit and take care not to over-apply. You Make Me Blush is a berry shade that’s great for medium to dark skin tones. It’s also perfect for an evening / formal look.
What I like :
- Superbly pigmented
- Has a smooth satin finish
- Gives me a healthy glow-from-within look
- Does not highlight my pores
- Stays on for a good 4-5 hours
- Airless pump (which means sanitary application and longer shelf-life of the product)
- Luxurious (and recyclable) packaging
- The highly pigmented, hydrating formula can also be easily used as a lip color
- All-natural, preservative-free product that’s also cruelty-free
What I don’t like :
- It’s pricey at $32 for .5oz/15ml of product
- The oil-based formula may not work well for those with oily-skin.
Final thoughts – I gotta say I’m extremely delighted with the GlamNatural Cream Blush in You make me blush. I think it should be named as a lip and cheek stain because this cream blush doubles up perfectly as a lipcolor! Although pricey, it’s worth the splurge considering that you need to use so little, it’s going to last a very long time (even if used on cheeks and lips). Available at GlamNaturalMakeup.com
