GlamNatural Hydrating Foundation comes in a recyclable glass bottle with airless pump. I tried the shade Beige 1 that matches and blends perfectly with my skin ( NC 25-ish). This foundation comes in six shades and to help you with choosing the right shade, there is a useful description for each shade on the GlamNatural website. For eg – here’s Beige 1 described – Sometimes burns/ Usually tans. Light to dark eyes. Medium to dark blonde, brown, or red hair. Best for skin with beige to olive undertones.
Due to the concentrated consistency of this makeup, it feels thick at first so it is suggested to warm the foundation between your fingertips or back of your hand before applying it to your face. Once it softens with the heat from your hand, you can apply and blend like any other liquid foundation. Also, you need to use very less product – 1 small pump of the product is enough to cover your entire face. I love the natural, dewy finish! Despite being a rich foundation, it doesn’t look or feel heavy on my skin and didn’t make me greasy after a few hours of wear. I didn’t use any finishing powder but those with oily skin would probably need that. And true to its name, it is very hydrating so make sure you don’t use a heavy-duty moisturizer before this foundation.
GlamNatural’s Hydrating Foundation offers a solid medium coverage. It evens out my skintone perfectly, covers my dark spots well and makes the old acne scars look better, but they are still visible. I really don’t care for covering it all up so coverage-wise, it works for me. The formula is long-lasting too and stays put even when I skip (forget) the primer.
Overall, I am truly impressed with Glam natural Hydrating Foundation. The moisturizing formula is especially well-suited for dry and mature skin and provides great coverage. I probably won’t be wearing this foundation much during the spring/summer as I prefer lightweight makeup with a healthy dose of SPF, but it’s definitely a keeper for fall and winter season. I can’t think of any negative except for the price – $65 (1oz) is pretty steep but because it’s so concentrated, it will last a really long time. First of all I want to say awesome blog! I had a quick question that I’d like to ask if you don’t mind. I was curious to know how you center yourself and clear your mind before writing. I have had a difficult time clearing my thoughts in getting my thoughts out. I truly do enjoy writing but it just seems like the first 10 to 15 minutes tend to be wasted simply just trying to figure out how to begin. Any recommendations or hints? Kudos!
