Even though it seems too good to be true, Prestige cosmetics Color Persist Long-wear and Care Lipstick is just that – a comfortable long-wearing lipstick that also prevents water loss in the lips to keep them hydrated, decrease lip chapping and even acts as a free-radical scavenger!

To begin with, this lipstick has a creamy soft, lightweight texture that feels somewhat like a lip balm as you apply it. It glides on smooth as silk while instantly moisturizing lips and sets to a satin finish. These lippies have a sweet/fruity flavor but thankfully that’s noticeable only while applying. The color payoff is excellent – you get a really nice wash of color with just a couple of quick swipes and it’s easy to build up the color intensity as you like.
Now speaking of the staying power, I wouldn’t say these wear exceptionally well but they do last for a good 3-4 hours. The color holds up very well through drinking but not so much through a meal and leaves behind a nice stain as it wears off. But what I love the most about this lippie is that it never leaves my lips feeling dried out that is usually the case with most traditional long-wear lip colors. You won’t ever have to reach for a lip balm before these (unless of course, you lips are already chapped)
Here are the two shades that I tried – Infinite Mauve and Lasting Blossom. Love both of these – well-pigmented, gorgeous, easy-to-wear everyday shades that would look great on most skin tones.

Bottom Line – Prestige cosmetics Color Persist Long-wear and Care Lipstick is undoubtedly one of the best affordable long-wearing lipsticks I’ve ever tried! I love the colors, finish and the comfortable wear. Available in 10 shades for $7.50 each, these are well-worth picking up!

Prestige is an under-rated brand in my opinion. Lasting blossom looks like a shade that would be perfect for me!
