Infused with white orchid extract, this pre-shampoo treatment creates a shield that keeps water out and locks color in. Simply apply 3-4 pumps all over your hair right before stepping into the shower. Add more if necessary for thicker hair or longer lengths. Begin and focus on the tips and massage up towards the roots. Just like a face primer, it has a smooth velvety feel on the skin. The lightweight formula spreads easily and sinks in instantaneously, making my hair feel soft & silky, not at all greasy or oily! And I like its sweet floral scent which is very light and doesn’t linger on (actually I wouldn’t mind even if it did!) Despite being an oil-based formula (with the goodness of argan, almond and coconut oil), it washes out easily without leaving my strands weighed down or limp.
As for the results, it does seem to help protect my hair color from being stripped away by shampoo or conditioner, keeping it vibrant longer while providing my dry tresses an extra boost of moisture. In addition to the primer, Nexxus Color Assure system comprises of Shampoo, Conditioner and Glossing Tonic. All products are sulfate-free and each features a blend of white orchid extract, almond oil, coconut oil, and argan oil to preserve color, nourish hair, and create a lustrous finish.
