Amarte Aqua Lotion

Today I have more Amarte skincare goodness to share! I am talking about the new Amarte Aqua Lotion – an ultra light facial lotion to smooth and brighten your skin.

Aqua Lotion is a light, water-based formula perfect for dehydrated skin. Rich in antioxidants and natural arbutin, this silky formula reduces melanin and enhances skin’s clarity and transparency, improving tone and texture while adding softness.

Ingredients: water, glycerin, arbutin, Argania spinosa kernel (argan) oil, caviar extract, beeswax, allantoin, elemental sulfur, adenosine, Ginkgo biloba nut extract, hydrogenated lecithin, Chamomilla recutita (chamomile) flower extract, trehalose, Rosmarinus officinalis (rosemary) extract, Hamamelis virginiana (witch hazel) leaf extract, Aspalathus linearis extract, dimethicone, Helianthus annuus (sunflower) seed oil, polyacrylamide, Opuntia ficus-indica extract, caprylic/capric triglyceride, C13-14 isoparaffin, palmitic acid, glyceryl stearate SE, polyglyceryl-3 methylglucose distearate, C12-16 alcohols, polysorbate 60, laureth-7, phenoxyethanol

Just like all Amarte products, the packaging for the Aqua Lotion is very elegant and classic….it looks great displayed on my vanity table along with some of my other Amarte favorites! The lotion comes in a pump bottle which is always a plus for me (you guys know I have never been a fan of jar packaging).

Aqua Lotion has an ultra-light and silky consistency, that works well for all skin types including those with combination to oily and blemish-prone skin.The formula absorbs in seconds leaving a fresh, moist feel that is never sticky, oily or heavy…just perfect for the warm summer months ahead! It has a light, refreshing citrus scent that’s quite nice! Even though it’s so light, the lotion does a great job of keeping my dry (and breakout prone) skin well-moisturized without any greasiness.

I have been using the Aqua Lotion twice a day after cleansing and toning; two pumps is just enough product to cover my face and neck area. It’s been almost 3 weeks since I started using it and so far I really like it. It works well to keep my skin soft, supple, balanced and more even-toned and didn’t cause any breakouts.

Overall, Amarte Aqua Lotion is a very nice brightening moisturizer with a gentle, fast-absorbing, ultra light formula that’s a good choice particularly for those with oily and blemish-prone skin. As much as I love the formula, I do think it’s a bit expensive at $75 for 1.7 fl oz.
