As a total beauty junkie, I come across a lot of new beauty products but it isn’t often that a truly amazing product comes along…and it’s always super exciting when one does! In this case, the product is Too Faced Born This Way Foundation and the name pretty much says it all!
Born This Way is an oil-free foundation that masterfully diffuses the line between makeup and skin. For coverage so undetectable, you can’t see the makeup and you can’t see imperfections—all that’s left is naturally radiant skin that looks like you were Born This Way.
- Medium-to-full undetectable coverage
- Coconut Water helps delicately replenish skin’s moisture levels without overhydrating—for the look of radiant skin
- Infused with the resilient Alpine Rose to brighten the skin’s appearance and promote elasticity
- Hyaluronic Acid helps balance skin for a smoother, more youthful appearance
Application Tip: For medium coverage, apply a small amount from the center of the face outward and blend with fingertips, sponge, or brush. Build to full coverage by layering as needed.
The product comes in a frosted glass bottle (with pump) that looks gorgeous on my vanity. I picked up the shade Warm Beige (described as Medium with Neutral-to-Golden Undertones) and it’s a nearly perfect match for me. The oil-free formula is silky-smooth and creamy – yet utterly lightweight and blends easily. For applying this foundation, I like to use my fingertips as brushes made for a slightly streakier application.
It really lives up to its claim of providing great medium-to-full coverage that builds easily and takes care of most of the imperfections on my face – blemishes, redness, scars, dark spots etc, leaving behind a smooth and even-looking canvas. And the breathable formula does all that without a mask-like feel.
I find that one-two pumps is enough to cover my face and I just dab on a bit more to problem areas, if needed, to get almost full coverage. I love the satin-y matte finish that looks very natural and gives me a subtle healthy-skin glow, no unwanted shine! Most days, I apply this foundation over one of my daytime primer/moisturizer with SPF and the combo works perfectly for my normal to dry skin. Also, it didn’t cling to any dry patches around my nose area. Best of all, it stays on literally all day, giving me more than 10 hours of coverage! Another major plus is that it doesn’t irritate my sensitive, breakout-prone skin or aggravate my acne.
Too Faced Born This Way does everything a great foundation should do (like cover, conceal, and perfect) without feeling or looking like there’s a noticeable layer of makeup on your face. The lightweight, silky-smooth formula blends beautifully and melts in like second skin for a very natural finish & coverage. Undoubtedly, it’s one of best foundations I have ever used…enough said!
Too Faced Born This Way Foundation ($39) comes in 18 shades…you are sure to find the right match for your skin tone! Pick it up from Sephora, Ulta or Too Faced.
