There’s no better place to find amazing beauty treasures than at the drugstore. And who says you have to sacrifice quality when it comes to shopping for beauty products on a budget?
RELATED: Drugstore Skincare Routine For Dry Skin
No matter how many fancy products come across my desk, there are a few fabulous drugstore finds that remain in constant rotation in my beauty routine.
Today I’ve rounded up 8 of my drugstore skincare favorites that are great for dry, sensitive skin like mine. And the best part is that all of these fabulous finds clock in under $20!
Here are my tried-and-tested drugstore skincare must-haves for dry, sensitive skin:
CeraVe AM Facial Moisturizing Lotion Broad Spectrum SPF 30 ($12.99) – This lotion offers everything I look for in a facial moisturizer with SPF – broad-spectrum UV protection, non-greasy, lightweight & oil free yet hydrating formula, no white cast and free of fragrance/irritating ingredients.
Simple Skincare Micellar Cleansing Water ($5.99) – For me, this is the best drugstore micellar cleansing water that’s gentle yet provides a thorough cleanse, helping to remove makeup, dirt and impurities without harsh rubbing.
Infused with skin-loving ingredients like glycerin, vitamin B3 and C, it leaves skin perfectly clean and refreshed without over-drying. The formula leaves no residue, so no rinsing required! It has no harsh chemicals, artificial perfume or dyes that can upset your skin.
Aveeno Active Naturals Skin Relief Gentle Scent Lotion ($7.97) – Specifically designed for sensitive skin, this colloidal oatmeal infused lotion has a light feel yet it’s really hydrating with a silky, non-greasy finish and a delightfully sooothing coconut scent. The allergy-tested formula is clinically proven to be as gentle on skin as fragrance-free products! A little scent, a lot of moisture!
Pixi Skintreats Glow Tonic ($15) – Formulated with 5% glycolic acid plus aloe vera and ginseng, this is a gentle exfoliating toner that I like to use every other night or so. First of all, it’s alcohol-free, so I don’t have to worry about it drying out my skin. It removes dead cells and excess oil while smoothing my skin.
And, because it has exfoliating properties, it makes the skincare products I use after it absorb more quickly and thoroughly, so it really kind of optimizes my whole routine. It’s hard to find a good alcohol-free toner, especially at the drugstore but this one is a fabulous find!
Olay Regenerist Micro-Sculpting Serum, Fragrance-free ($20) – Between the silky, elegantly lightweight texture and a great mix of beneficial ingredients including peptides, antioxidants, concentrated amino-peptide + B3 complex, glycerin and more, there’s a lot to love about this hydrating & anti-aging face serum from Olay!
Also, it has a light-diffusing soft, radiant finish and the formula works well under makeup too. For under $20, this one is really a drugstore skincare steal!
Alba Botanica Very Emollient Clear Spray Sunscreen SPF 50 ($14.99) – Now that summer is not too far away, this list won’t be complete without a body sunscreen! My current favorite is the Alba Botanica’s Clear Spray Sunscreen which provides natural broad-spectrum sun protection in a convenient, aerosol-free spray-on lotion form without any chemical or flammable propellants.
The fragrance free mineral sunscreen formula contains nourishing ingredients, like avocado oil & aloe and is also water resistant (80 minutes). It’s a runny liquid formula so I like to spray the product on my hands first and then rub in…it absorbs quickly without leaving a white cast. Just perfect for kids and for all us sensitive skin types who love to have fun in the sun!
Burt’s Bees Facial Cleansing Oil ($12.37) – This facial cleansing oil has a 100% natural formula infused with skin-nourishing botanicals like coconut and argan oils. Even if I am wearing a full face of long-wearing makeup, this cleansing oil wipes it away pretty easily, making the whole makeup-removing-process a breeze!
And it rinses off easily without a sticky or greasy residue and leaves my skin feeling soft and comforted. This one is a must-try if you really want to cut down your makeup removal time while giving your skin a moisture surge!
Yes to blueberries Foaming Facial Cleanser ($5.21) – I love foaming facial cleansers but with my naturally dry skin, I need one that’s gentle and doesn’t leave my naturally dry skin feeling stripped. This one fits the bill perfectly!
Infused with soothing chamomile and glycerin, the plush foam does a great job of providing a thorough cleanse to remove dirt and excess oil, without any dryness. The 97% natural formula is free of SLS and parabens, which is always a plus!

For the face, if I simplified this to 4 products, what would you recommend they be out of this list?
1. Gentle cleanser
2. Leave-on exfoliant
3. Daytime moisturizer SPF 30+
4. Nighttime moisturizer
