A nude lip color is an absolute necessity for an everyday makeup look! Whether it be fall or spring, nude lipsticks are always in vogue and it’s a versatile look that can easily take you from running errands in the daytime to a girls night out or a romantic date night with your hubby.
From beige to mocha or a sheer wash of peachy pink, a nude-toned lip can be quite flattering, especially when coupled with smoky eyes. Even if a smoldering smoky eye isn’t your thing, adding a rich black eyeliner with soft eyeshadow is enough to amp up the glam factor!
Today I am showcasing a few of my current favorite nude lipsticks that I find myself reaching for again and again. It’s not that I am bidding adieu to winter’s berry and red lipstick hues, but just wanted to share my love for the nude lipsticks that have been my go-to for a quick and easy, casual glam look!
You can click on the links for each of the lipstick below to see their swatches…
Clinique Pop Matte Lip Colour + Primer in Blushing Pop – This is a light-medium caramel toned warm nude that’s quite flattering on my complexion. Not too beige, not too pale – just right for me! It has a lightweight, soft matte finish that gives me the dry look of a matte lip without any uncomfortable dryness. I love to pair this lipstick with a smoky bronzy-brown shadow whenever I want to bring on the subtle sultry vibes!
Rimmel London The Only 1 Lipstick in Naughty Nude – I am a fan of Rimmel’s The Only 1 lipsticks (they were also featured in my Best of Beauty 2016). Packed with pigment, creamy and lightweight, this semi-matte neutral hue with mauve pink tones is perfect for adding a subtle pop of color…it’s great for everyday wear and also perfectly appropriate for office! I think it would look great on all skin tones.
Tarte Lip Sculptor Lipstick & Gloss In VIP – This soft pink-ish nude is the perfect ‘your lips but better’ shade for me. It has a hydrating, creamy satin finish with a beautiful pigment payoff. This is actually a two-in-one product featuring a lipstick and lipgloss in complementing shades. The coordinating lipgloss is nice to add an extra dose of moisture and glossy shine!
SheaMoisture Shea Butter Luscious Lipstick in Maple – A good moisturizing drugstore nude lipstick can be hard to find, but this one by Shea Moisture is an affordable indulgence! It’s a medium nude pink creme with subtle plum (cool) undertones. The creamy formula is nicely hydrating and delivers in the pigment department as well!
L’Oréal Paris Infallible Lip Paint in Nude Star – It’s the newest nude lipstick in my makeup arsenal that has quickly become my favorite glossy nude! This shiny tan shade is such an easy-to-wear neutral lip color that I often pull out to polish off my daytime look…it hasn’t left my purse since I got my hands on one! Not to mention, this liquid lipstick has a creamy, hydrating feel that is much appreciated by my winter-worn lips.
Too Faced La Crème Color Drenched Lip Cream in Honey Bear – If you’ve been reading this blog for a while, you might know that this one is an all-time favorite! Honey Bear is a gorgeously rich golden brown shade with mauve-ish undertones and slight shimmer. Paired with a neutral smoky eye, this chocolate toned color is one of my favorite nude lipsticks for a night out in the town…instant glam, effortlessly! Just wish it was a bit more long-wearing!
