Flower Beauty Light Illusion Foundation is a new liquid foundation that promises long-lasting luminous finish with a weightless, nude-skin feel.
Available in 12 shades, this new Flower Beauty foundation offers buildable coverage with all day wear plus broad-spectrum SPF 18 to boot.
When it comes to choosing a foundation, I have always been biased towards foundations designed to provide a dewy fresh, luminous finish. With my dry skin, I usually stay away from matte anything!
I spotted the new Flower Beauty Light Illusion Foundation the other day at Ulta Beauty, and couldn’t resist picking it up. Flower products used to be Walmart exclusive but now they are also available at Ulta stores.
Honestly, I didn’t need another foundation but I had never tried anything from the brand so just got a bit too excited and ended up purchasing 5 products. Oh well, it’s no secret that drugstore makeup is my weakness!
Flower Beauty Light Illusion Foundation comes in a 1fl oz glass bottle with pump. I got the shade M2 Soft Sand which is a nearly perfect match for my light-medium skintone.
As much as I love dewy finish foundations for my dry skin, most of them do not offer enough coverage for my acne scars and dark spots. And those with full coverage often feel thick or caked-on. But the Flower Beauty Light Illusion Foundation truly lives up to its promise and provides great coverage with a nude-skin feel!
The foundation formula is lightweight yet highly pigmented. It evens out my skin beautifully and provides medium to almost full coverage for my dark spots, redness and acne scars. And it doesn’t feel the least bit thick, heavy or greasy! I find that one pump is enough for my face.
It blends and sets to a satin finish with a subtle dewy glow, no shimmer here. I usually prep my skin with a hydrating primer before the foundation, but if I want to amp up the glow factor, I use my new favorite NYX Hydra Touch Oil Primer for the perfectly dewy finish!
As for the longevity, this foundation lasts all day for me. Wear time is a good 9-10 hours, with only minor fading. I don’t even use a setting powder.
Overall, Flower Beauty Light Illusion Foundation has been a fabulous find for me! This is such a great drugstore foundation for dry skin ladies like me. If you have fairly uneven skin tone like me (thanks to acne scars and sun damage!), you’ll love the fuss-free coverage this foundation provides.
It has a natural, satin finish that makes skin look dewy fresh (not overly glow-y) and healthy — not done up. I’m so glad I gave it a shot! Available at Ulta Beauty for $13.99
I also tried out the new Flower Beauty Light Illusion Full Coverage Concealer in the shade Light-Medium. I found this concealer just as great as the Light Illusion foundation!
The formula does an excellent job of concealing my dark circles, discolorations and red marks from breakouts. It’s creamy yet lightweight and blends easily providing medium to full coverage with a smooth matte finish that’s not at all drying!
It actually reminds me of my favorite NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer…the formula, finish and coverage is quite similar!
What I really love about this Flower Beauty concealer is that it doesn’t crease or settle into fine lines and is also impressively long-wearing. A little goes along way and builds beautifully. This is one of the best drugstore concealers I’ve tried!
The only problem is that the shade range is very limited with only 6 shades. Luckily, the shade Light-Medium worked well for me but they really need to introduce more shades. The formula is definitely top notch! Available at Ulta Beauty for $9.99
What do you think about the new Flower Beauty Light Illusion Foundation and Concealer? Are you a fan of dewy finish foundations like me?

Hi!
What (MAC) shade are you?
I’m trying to find my shade and I think I might be the same shade as you 🙂
