The directions suggest to apply this high strength formula to discolored skin once daily for two weeks and twice daily thereafter. I admit I have been using it only once at night mainly because it has retinol that makes skin more sensitive to the sun so I try to avoid any retinol formulas during daytime.
I just use the product as a spot treatment appying it only to the dark spots on my face. The formula has a super lightweight lotion consistency and absorbs quickly without leaving any greasy residue. After it dries up, I use one of my night-time moisturizers on the whole face. It’s worth noting that I did not experience any peeling or flaky skin and that’s probably because I made sure to follow up with a moisturizer every time. Do you think it would work just as well for dark acne scars? I have a few here and there that I would love to get rid of. There is a product that sounds similar to this one from Peter Thomas Roth that’s a spot treatment as well, I wonder how they compare.
