Who else gets excited when they find a sunscreen they love?! I do, for sure! Sunscreen is the ultimate anti-aging product that perfectly complements – and even enhances – all the other things that you may be investing in for your skin.
So yes, I am obsessed with wearing SPF (and you should be too!) With that in mind, let’s talk about today’s star, the new Hero Force Shield Superbeam Sunscreen SPF 30.
I am already a fan of Hero Force Shield Superlight Sunscreen SPF 30 which is great for all skin types with its weightless matte finish. So when I saw that the brand has released a new glowy sunscreen, I purchased it right away from Ulta Beauty. I had high hopes from this SPF and it totally lived up to the hype…keep reading for my detailed review!

Hero Superbeam Sunscreen SPF 30 Review
This sunscreen has a super-smooth, silky texture that’s very lightweight and easy to blend without a thick or heavy feeling. It absorbs quickly with a glowy finish, leaving my skin with a dewy glow and absolutely NO white cast.
As someone with dry skin, I just love the elegant finish of this sunscreen! It adds the perfect amount of dewiness without being shiny or tacky and leaves my skin glowy (not greasy). Also, there’s no shimmer in the formula, which I really appreciate. Check out my Instagram reel below to see the texture and finish…

The formula has a sheer peachy tint (with warm undertones) that blends in seamlessly on my light-medium skin tone without a trace. It doesn’t provide any coverage at all but helps reduce a little bit of redness.
True to its claims, the Superbeam sunscreen leaves my skin feeling moisturized without a sticky or greasy feel. On my dry skin, it feels very comfortable and hydrating enough that I can skip using a moisturizer before this sunscreen (except during the cold winter months when my skin is extra dry!)
And the 100% mineral SPF formula is gentle too, so doesn’t irritate my skin or sting around the eyes. Plus, it plays well with other products as it doesn’t pill up and creates a great base for makeup. I like how it doubles as a glowy primer under my makeup! Just make sure to wait a couple of minutes for the sunscreen to fully set before applying your makeup.
Overall, this sunscreen is really a joy to wear. In fact, I’d say it’s one of the best drugstore mineral tinted sunscreens I’ve tried in quite some time! I just wish that it had a higher SPF though.
Bottom Line
Hero Force Shield Superbeam Sunscreen SPF 30 is definitely a new staple in my routine. If you are looking for an everyday mineral sunscreen, this one is absolutely worth trying with its elegant texture and finish!
It’s lightweight and hydrating enough without being tacky or too dewy and there’s zero stickiness or white cast. It gives you the glow you want, and the sun protection you need — without clogging pores or irritating sensitive skin. Not to mention, it’s super affordable at just $20!
I would recommend this dewy sunscreen for normal to dry and combination skin types. If you have oily skin and/or prefer something more mattifying, this might not be a great fit for you.
