Hello there! Hope your new year is off to a great start! I know I am a little late to the party, but here it is…a roundup of my favorite beauty products of 2019, from drugstore to high-end.
These are the fabulous finds that really stood out and secured a top spot in my beauty stash so I am excited to share my love for them again! All of these newly discovered loves were released in 2019. So, without further ado, here are my top beauty favorites from last year…
Best Beauty Products 2019
1. Fenty Beauty Hydrating Longwear Foundation ($35)
This is probably my most worn foundation of the year! It offers buildable medium to full coverage that’s long-wearing with a natural satin finish. Although hydrating, this foundation isn’t dewy, heavy or too moisturizing and doesn’t slip into creases. My full review here.
2. Covergirl TruBlend Undercover Concealer ($7.94)
This is my favorite concealer find of the year! It has a lightweight yet full coverage matte finish formula that’s easy to blend and long-lasting, no caking or creasing! It disguises my dark circles without looking cakey or overly made up. It also does a great job covering up dark spots and acne scars. This is the best drugstore concealer you can snag for under $10!
3. Revolution PRO Hydra Matte Primer ($15)
This is a hydrating primer that won me over right from the start! It has a very lightweight, silky-smooth texture that just melts into my skin. It hydrates without a heavy feel and creates an evenly smooth canvas for makeup (without any dewiness or shine!) Another plus point is that the formula is infused with collagen and antioxidants.
4. Covergirl Outlast Active Foundation ($8.99)
This is a fabulous foundation that’s great not only for everyday wear but also gym-approved (it’s sweat-proof, transfer-proof and humidity-proof!) The oil-free formula gives me solid medium coverage with matte finish plus SPF 20. It feels very lightweight on the skin with a natural, non-foundation look. My full review here.
5. Urban Decay Vice Lip Chemistry ($22)
These lightweight lip tints add a pop of color without the hassle of a high maintenance lipstick or the stickiness of a thick gloss. The formula is lightly hydrating without any heaviness and leaves lips feeling comfortably moisturized. Not to mention, the packaging is so pretty!! Swatches here.
6. Estee Lauder Double Wear Instant Fix Concealer ($29)
This hydrating concealer brightens up my under eye area in such a natural way (making me look much less tired than I really am!) The satin finish formula blends beautifully and doesn’t crease or settle into my fine lines. Plus, it’s oil-free and waterproof. My full review here.
7. Drunk Elephant A-Passioni Retinol Cream ($74)
This is a high-potency yet gentle retinol cream that earned a place in my holy-grail skincare list. Along with 1% retinol, the formula is loaded with nourishing anti-retinol-side-effect ingredients like Ceramides, Niacinamide, plus soothing plant oils (marula, avocado, apricot and jojoba) to help reduce any irritation. My full review here.
8. Revolution Skincare Blemish and Pore Refining Serum 10% Niacinamide + 1% Zinc ($7)
This is a high-strength Niacinamide serum that’s super affordable and effective! With a weightless water-like texture and non-tacky finish, it’s suitable for all skin types. It really works well to improve uneven skin tone and texture. My full review here.
9. IT Cosmetics Confidence in a Gel Lotion Moisturizer ($36)
Infused with ceramides, sodium hyaluronate, glycerin and cactus flower extract, this is a wonderful oil-free moisturizer with a truly weightless feel. It also pulls off double duty as a smoothing primer, leaving skin perfectly prepped for makeup! My full review here.
10. Olay Sun Face Sunscreen + Makeup Primer SPF 35 ($11.45)
True to its name, this product protects like a sunscreen and perfectly preps like a primer. Between the barely-there feel and oil-free matte finish formula, this is one of the best drugstore sunscreens to wear under makeup! Plus, it’s loaded with antioxidants Niacinamide, green tea and vitamin E for anti-aging benefits. My full review here.
11. Kerastase Discipline Masque Oleo-Relax Hair Mask ($62)
This is the BEST moisturizing hair mask I’ve ever tried (and trust me, I have tried a lot!!) I love how incredibly smoothing & hydrating it is and works its magic in just 5 minutes without ever weighing down my hair. And a little goes a long way, which is great because this miracle mask is expensive but totally worth the splurge!
12. Pantene Pro-V Intense Rescue Shots ($4.97)
On the drugstore front, this deep conditioning treatment is an affordable luxury that treats my tresses with a ton of moisture! It gives my dry and damaged hair the TLC it needs, leaving it super soft and smooth without any greasy residue or build up.
Honorable mentions
L’Oréal Infallible Fresh Wear Foundation ($11.50)
With its super lightweight texture and medium-to-full coverage that stays put all day, this is one of the best long-wearing drugstore foundations I’ve tried! It has a natural matte finish, doesn’t emphasize my large pores and wears well without becoming patchy on my dry skin.
Lumene Invisible Illumination Watercolor Blush ($21)
This is a liquid blush with a beautiful luminous finish and I love that the color is pretty long-lasting! It adds such a pretty radiance to my skin. The formula is buildable and can be layered easily for a nice pop of color or you can keep it sheer.
Urban Decay Stay Naked Concealer ($29)
This is a lightweight, medium-to-full coverage concealer that wears long and strong with a natural matte finish. It really lasts through the day without creasing or settling into my fine lines and doesn’t feel or look heavy.
So, these are my top beauty picks of 2019!
